Hi! my name is Dakota Cerro and i’m a filmmaker currently based in Atlanta Georgia, born and raised on Long Island, New York.

I Graduated from The Savannah College of Art and Design in 2021 with a BFA in Film & Television.

The flame of filmmaking has been burning inside me from a young age. I see myself as an ardent filmmaker and cinephile. I believe that along side practicing your physical skills, it’s important to always be consuming new media as well as keeping a personal library of films that inspire you to turn to for inspiration. My favorite films are ones that I find to be the most inventive and personal. Just like many others I often have plenty of unique visions swirling around in my head that I want to bring to life though the format that i’m most passionate about.

One of my main personal interests is shooting on Super 8 film. I believe that everyone has a story to tell and I want to tell a portion of my on Super 8 because of its ability to convey strong emotions with its nostalgic aesthetic.
